I'm a product designer based in Penang, ready to work globally. For the past seven years I've worked on AI products for enterprise teams.
My most recent work was in agentic commerce: Trustana's Commerce Agents, launched in July 2026, which check, complete and organise retail catalogues of tens of thousands of products.
My design tools are Claude Code and Figma, and I prototype in the live codebase. Thirteen years and five startups later, I'm still building from zero to one.
Experience
Trustana
Joined as the second hire and was the sole designer for most of five years. Built the AI product data platform from zero: PIM, AI enrichment and Commerce Agents, for retailers across APAC and the Middle East.
Saleswhale
A YC-backed AI assistant for marketing and sales teams. Designed its core workflows and set up the team's first shared design library.
Rakuten Viki
Streaming for Asian drama fans, with 40M+ monthly viewers. Designed fan channels, subtitling tools and community features, and led the platform redesign.
AsiaRooms
Hotel booking across Asia. Redesigned the booking flow on web, iOS and Android.
My approach
Stay close to the problem
AI makes design explorations abundant and cheap, so the real work is understanding the problem. I prototype early to ask questions and get business, engineering and product aligned.
Find the middle ground
Startups ship on tight timelines, so not everything makes the first release. I work with product managers and developers to find the simplest version that unblocks customers.
Now
I left Trustana in September 2026, after it was acquired by Graas. I'm available now for full-time, contract or freelance work. If you're building AI products, I'd love to hear from you.
